Tenquille Lake Trail is a beautiful forested area. The trail itself requires some light bush-whacking so visitors should be prepared for that. As well, this is a grizzly bear habitat. Please hike with caution and bring bear spray. Many visitors do this as part of a camping trip. You will have spectacular views and beautiful meadows.

Setting out from the parking area on Hurley River FSR, follow the trail south as it makes its way along the Branch 12 Trail. This is an old, decommissioned forest service road that meanders through the woods.

11/2/2016 0 Comments There was a fair amount of swearing under my breath on the way to the Tenquille cabin last weekend. The snow started on the Tenquille Creek branch approaching from the Birkenhead side. Not enough snow that we couldn't drive the road, but not enough to ski in the forest. We carried our skis for 1 or 2 km.

Tenquille Lake - Branch 12 Trail This crystal clear sub-alpine lake can be accessed by a number of hiking trails. The easier option (and the one highlighted here) is the Branch 12 Trail. This trail is rolling and relatively gentle for the most part, but there are some steeper sections.
